Root Canals

A root canal procedure is necessary when a tooth becomes infected. Unfortunately, an infected tooth will not heal on its own. The longer you put off your root canal treatment, the larger the chance that the infection — and the pain — will worsen. If you have ever known anyone who has gone through a severely painful tooth infection, you know how important it is to take care of your situation as quickly as possible at our Orlando dentist office of Dynamice Smile Design.

Some of the symptoms of an infected tooth include sensitivity to hot and cold or a tooth that is swollen and painful.

Root Canal Therapy

Many people assume root canal treatment is very painful, when in fact it usually isn’t painful at all because the entire area is numbed before the our Orlando dentist will begin the process. Infections that warrant root canals are usually caused by deep cavities or fractures. These conditions allow bacteria to enter into the pulp of the tooth. Once this happens, infection may occur.

Dr. Puig’s (Orlando dentist) job is to remove all of the infected tissue and properly seal the root canals with a filling material. In most cases, a crown is needed to restore the tooth.

Root canal therapy is done in our Orlando dentist office in usually one visit.
