Tooth Reshaping

If dental decay, trauma, or a tooth fracture has caused a tooth to break off, Dr. Puig often performs tooth reshaping. Tooth reshaping can be done with bonding, crowns, or veneers. In many cases, Dr. Puig reshapes the gum tissue around the affected tooth to provide more surface area to attach a restoration. You may hear this procedure called crown lengthening or a gum lift. Dr. Puig uses a soft-tissue laser to perform gum lifts with minimal discomfort. Procedure and recovery times are fast. Because the laser seals as it goes, bleeding is minimal, and there’s no need for stitches.
