Restorative Dentistry in Orlando

Restorative dentistry consists of procedures intended to return your mouth and teeth to full functionality. Restorations can include cosmetic options, such as tooth colored fillings or crowns, and more comprehensive solutions like dental bridges or dentures.

Restorative Dentistry Smile by Dr. Puig

At Dynamic Smile Design, Dr. Puig always strives to find the least invasive, most conservative approach possible. A healthy, happy, functional smile is the goal, and she will work closely with you to determine which treatment will deliver the results you need.

Options for restorative dental treatment include:

Tooth Colored Fillings

Older fillings were made of mercury mixed with silver, and over time these fillings expand, contract, and cause further damage to your tooth. At our practice, we use a strong, natural tooth colored composite to fill cavities and replace old fillings.

Inlays and Onlays

When a filling is cracked or falling out, or the damage from injury or decay is more than a new filling can fix, a crown may still not be necessary. Inlays and onlays can cover larger areas of tooth than a filling can, resulting in a restored tooth and a correct bite.

When infection or injury has damaged your smile, Dr. Puig is here to restore you to your best. Read about our restorative dentistry services here.

Porcelain Crowns

When a tooth's chewing surface is damaged, whether due to decay, a crack or break, a root canal, or an old filling, a porcelain crown can restore the look and functionality of the tooth. Crowns are also used to cover dental implants.

Fixed Bridges

A bridge spans the gap left by missing teeth in your mouth, preventing the rest of the arch from shifting. A bridge can be fixed in the mouth by several different methods, and is topped with natural looking tooth restorations. If you are missing a single tooth or a few teeth in a row, a fixed bridge could be the perfect solution.

Dentures can be used to restore your smile when numerous teeth are missing or damaged, or when all teeth have fallen out or been extracted due to decay or gum disease. Partial dentures replace multiple missing teeth with restorations that match your remaining teeth, while full dentures create a brand new, functional smile that is straight, white, and even.
