The Wells’ Built Museum is a historic building that was once a hotel. It was a place where African-American entertainers performed in Orlando and surrounding areas. After the hotel’s opening, it became a popular place for African-American entertainers to perform, and it was the place where Jackie Robinson stayed. Other famous entertainers such as Ella Fitzgerald, Ray Charles, Roy Campanella, and Bo Diddly also performed at the Wells’ Built Hotel.
